Releasing Your Thoughts
by Jan Tincher
Releasing thoughts that hold you back is a powerful step toward taking control of your life.
Thoughts usually come from the three basic needs people feel. The need to feel in control, the need to feel acceptance, and the need to feel security. Every thought or feeling you have can be traced to those three needs.
Maybe you don't like the way work is going. The thoughts you have about it are based on your feelings. Many times we feel all three in the work place: The need to feel in control, the need to feel acceptance, and the need to feel security. If you can just release the NEED to feel in control, the need to feel acceptance, or the need to feel security, you will feel your mind lighten up so that you can handle what needs to be done. If you hold on to the NEED, you are way too tight to do the good you could do.
When you feel anger about something, break it down to what your NEED is. Is it the NEED to feel in control, to feel acceptance, or to feel security? Just breaking it down is an immense help. Once you've done that, just release the need(s) and see how much better you feel.
If you find you are always eating or smoking, every time you put something in your mouth, analyze your need, then release it in your mind. In fact, if you release before, during, and after you put something in your mouth, you will be doing an even more thorough job of freeing yourself so that you don't feel that need to do it later.
If you get nervous over something, break it down to the need related to it and release that need.
If you find yourself yelling at the children or your spouse, release the need before you yell, as you are yelling, and after you yell. YES! That can be done. Your mind can work miracles while your tongue or body is reacting in an old familiar pattern.
Every time you feel stress, you can break it down to one or more of your needs. Release it.
It's a lot like clearing the cache in your computer. When you do that, you free the computer so that it can work better and faster. That is also what you are doing with your brain.
Release, and watch your life turn around. Feel how much freer and more relaxed you are after you release.

Jan
