What does ERGONOMICS mean? Ergonomics (from Greek roots, ergon - meaning work; and nomoi - meaning natural laws), is the study of human capabilities with regard to the demands of work. Ergonomics redefines how one can reduce or eliminate unnecessary postures that cause friction on the anatomy.
Ergonomics is based on fundamental elements that encourage work activities to be adaptable; such as allowing an individual to modify various and multiple postures that are healthy and safe.
