Through a self help journal, persons are able to express themselves freely, and give way to personal, emotional and sometimes spiritual growth.
A Self help journal further provides a special place to explore one's innermost thoughts, frustrations, questions, concerns, and overal feelings - and then acts as a template for individuals to re-examine and to re-evaluate.
Somtimes, a self help journal can enable persons to get in touch with part of themselves that have been hidden. A self help journal can also be your own personal chatroom (of sorts) that allows you to be open, honest and even critical of yourself.
A route to personal growth, a self help journal can be used daily for enhanced living, or on a day to day basis when you feel you may need to express your feelings.
I personally use a self help journal everytime I become angered or frustrated. My own self help journal allows me to express feelings that I would rather not say out loud; it also permits me to let out my anguish, dispair, and all my joyous moments. When I reflect on my self help journal, I can see events, actions, nonactions or other circumstance that may have led me to feel the way I did at that particular moment; thus giving way for me to better understand how to cope or deal should a particular problem arise again.
Personally, I feel a self help journal is metaphorically worth a million words, as it leads persons to better comprehend and deal with life on a daily basis.
