Iridology

Iridology is a non-intrusive, non-invasive scan of the ocular biomarkers, occurring in the human (and animal) iris. These easily-read marks are imprinted as dynamic cellular memory, in the blue or brown part of the eye called the iris. A trained iridologist assesses these markers using a simple light source and an enlargement technique, such as a stereo microscope, a digital camera, a magnifying lens or some combination of these. In just ten or fifteen minutes, major and minor abnormalities in every body organ that has nerve sensitivity can be identified by examining the sectors of both irises, where each system or organ is uniquely identified. These abnormalities include current, active health issues, trauma over the entire lifetime, and genetic, inherited weaknesses. Iridology is thus a diagnostic or discovery technique of great power. It is surprisingly accurate, and dependent solely on successfully observing the patterns and identifiers placed over time by your own body, as its "log" or audit trail

Tissue conditions incident to each organ are the focus of an iridology scan, rather than a diagnosis by the somewhat confusing, and often difficult-to-establish criteria of disease names, the prevailing favorite descriptor of Western medical science. And since the body is its own best healer, simply providing the proper initial conditions for healing to take place, will yield lasting results. Therapeutically this can be accomplished by one or more of the many healing modalities available to persons who have taken responsibility for their own health, since each organ has a trigger that will activate, build or cleanse, as dictated by that organ's own cellular receptors. Thus, iridology furnishes an organ by organ assessment that can be used to intelligently target each specific issue uncovered as an iridologist goes over your irides. Examples of such interventions are: nutriceuticals, herbal supplements, pulsed light, acupuncture, pH normalization etc.

Iridology has been used for millennia by shepherds, and has been in use in the Western world for well over a century. In the United States the science of Iridology is associated with the name of Dr. Bernard Jensen (1908-2001) more than anyone else.
