Schools of natural healing provide students with a variety of natural health courses and programs including aromatherapy, herbalism, homeopathy, iridology, and massage therapy, among others.
Aromatherapy courses in schools of natural healing typically include training in anatomy, herbal home health care, basic studies in herbology, herbal safety, essential oils and aromatherapy, and more. While this course may be taken individually, a lot of massage therapy schools have begun offering aromatherapy as an elective class, or as part of the basic curriculum.

Iridology programs in schools of natural healing can often be completed in a short number of holistic seminars. These are often combined with basic nutritional studies like detoxification, herbalism, vitamins, and supplements. More of a diagnostic method, iridology is the study of the iris and the identification of certain markers on the eye; as well as coloration, and other distinguishing characteristics that may reflect specific health conditions in the body. An iridology course is commonly integrated into naturopathy, holistic health, and other healing arts programs.
Schools of natural healing that offer homeopathic medicine training often require educational prerequisites from an accredited school or university. As with most medical training, even alternative medicine, intensive studies may take up to four years to complete. Additionally, homeopathy is frequently included in a naturopathic curriculum.
If you're drawn to bodywork, then schools of natural healing almost always offer programs in massage therapy. While modalities may vary, basic educational platforms include Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, and sports massage. Other general studies are comprised of anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, pathology, and CPR and first aid, among others.
