Breema

What is BREEMA? bodywork? Breema is a form of nurturing touch, and tension-relieving excersises such as: stretching, and rhythymic movements. Using Breema develops physical, mental and emotional balance.

Breema is based on "nine principles of harmony." Breema's first principle is becoming comfortable with one's body and being able to connect with instinctive wisdom. Breema's second principle is not to do anything out of the ordinary -- no extras. Breema's third principle is to be balanced with firmness and gentleness. Breema's fourth principle is to fully participate so to move in the most natural way. The fifth principle of Breema is to have mutual support through "Being and Existence." Breema's sixth principle is being nonjudgemental. The seventh principle of Breema is "Single Moment/Single Activity" -- in other words, each moment is to be viewed as new, fresh and alive. Breema's eighth principle is "no hurry/no pause" -- to keep in sync with natural rhythym. Finally, the ninth principle of Breema ia to let go of assumptions of separation and release force.

Essentially, Breema is practiced with a fully-clothed recipient on a padded floor. Breema is nurturing touch, gentle exercises and effective breathing, Developed in a remote mountain village many generations ago, Breema brings harmony to mind, body and soul.
