COSMOLOGY, closely related to astronomy, is a science that studies the Universe as a "whole." Cosmology is a means to find understanding to the origins of the Universe, its evolution, and final fate of the Universe. Using theories or hypotheses, cosmology calculates predictions for phenomena by observation.
Einstein's "General Theory of Relativity" helped develop cosmology's theory of the "Big Bang." According to theories of cosmology, all things have matter and energy within the Universe -- all are expansive, and everchanging.
With regard to cosmology, Quasars (extraordinary and massive black holes) were the first cosmic structures in the Universe. Furthermore, cosmology -- based on evidential facts obtained through the Hubble Space Telescope, now theorizes that the Universe is approximately 13-14 billion years old.
Cosmology is important in the advancement of scientific research. Employing quantum physics and its interrelation to matter, particles, neutrons and protons; Cosmology is avidly persuing the fate of our Universe with regard to historical hypotheses of the "Big Bang" theory.
