What is an Extraterrestrial? In short, if you've ever watched the classic Stephen Spielburg film, "ET," then you've got a fairly good idea of what an extraterrestrial is. "Close Encounters of the Third Kind," another film made famous by actor, Richard Dreyfuss further exalted mankind's thirst for extraterrestrial life forms.
Has man ever encountered extraterrestrial life forms? That question, (circulated through commercial and public media), revolves around secret, government conspiracy theories that have eluded society throughout the mid to late 1900s. The US government's military installation, Roswell Air Force Base had two projects, "Bluebook and Majestic-12." In 1969, operation "Bluebook" was an airforce program that investigated unidentified flying objects. The "Majestic-12" file was an FBI inquiry relating to unauthorized disclosure of classified information; it was later closed when the document was deemed inauthentic. In 1947, existing documentation tells of a flying object (that of a flying disc) that was recovered near Roswell, New Mexico. Additionally, there are currently over 1600 pages of unidentified flying object reports on government file, with regard to extraterrestrial life forms. These extraterrestrial reports are now open to the public in lieu of the "Freedom of Information Act."
Presently, NASA claims they are "no longer" involved in extraterrestrial research, however the nonprofit, SETI Institute conducts studies in a myriad of fields, to include extraterrestrial research.
Do extraterrestrial really coinhabit our Universe and other solar systems? In summation, the human mind is a paradox of endless wonderment. To think that no other lifeforms (or extraterrestrial) exist is not only outlandish, but pompous as well. Modern research, according to the Discovery Channel (R) - Civilization," shows that mankind did not only evolve from one species of human, but of at least two types of homosapien counterparts. Thirty years ago, society would never have believed this theory, but research does indeed show evidentual cause for this. So, do extraterrestrials live beyond our realm...or perhaps, with us?
