How does one find "inner peace?" It's not something you can smell, not something you can taste - what exactly is inner peace anyway? Inner peace is the feeling one achieves when s/he has reached a point in his/her life of mind, body and spirit interconnection. Inner peace is the happy light that shines within your soul and is emitted from you wherever you go. Inner peace allows you to make confident and conscious decisions without aforethought. Inner peace is the utmost contentment one can attain. Through this euphoric emotion of wholeness and peacefulness, one can make light of a bad situation and bounce back with ease. No regrets. No sorrows.
Inner peace is the correlation of mind, body and spirit working harmoniously together. When one has inner peace, s/he submerges him/herself into a wealth of Divine light. Always seeking joy, inner peace souls have the keen ability to live life to its fullest. Because inner peace is a feeling, all individuals have it. The key to inner peace discovery, is to look within yourself. Inner peace is waiting to be found and transmitted to the environment and people around you.
But how can you find inner peace? Inner peace can be rediscovered, (as it is always there), by daily meditations, prayer, excercises like Yoga, Tai Chi, and aromatherapy (just to name a few); and, if you really wish to receive inner peace, all one must do is look to the Divine self for this wonderful and blissful feeling. Inner peace is the most profound feeling one can have on this earth as it allows us to live and let live.
In closing, we leave you with a basic meditation that may guide you along your path to true inner peace:
Prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi ~
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much
seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we born to eternal life.
If you are seeking inner peace, seek within and there it shall be.
