Defined by writer, Thomas Kuhn, Paradigm Shift is a "series of peaceful interludes punctuated by intellectually violent revolutions," and in those revolutions, "one conceptual world view is replaced by another."1
A shift from one perception to another, or transformation, Paradigm Shift is similar to metamorphosis. Paradigm shift encompasses all things relavent to science: its beliefs, its laws, methods and procedures -- and Paradigm Shift includes the basis of life.
Paradigm Shift relates to the whole transformation of life, science, society, religion...everything. Paradigm shifts can be good or bad, and usually involve an entire generation. But what does it all mean? Paradigm shifts are movements within society, effecting society as whole; and brings about acceptance or change.2
Overall, Paradigm shifts transform the structures of scientific and human revolutions.
