Psychometry

PSYCHOMETRY (the term "psychometry" was created in 1842 by J.R. Buchanan) is a natural gift enabling an individual to draw upon emanations by holding certain objects in his/her hand or placing it on his/her forehead. The emanations drawn in psychometry allow the person to read the history of these items. Objects like watches, rings, keys and other small, personal tokens are usually the best sources for psychometry.

The emanations in psychometry hold a form of recorded history of each item. The theory behind psychometry is that personal objects record senses and emotions; thus allowing a "playback" in the brainwaves of the psychometrist. Unlike the Akashic Records, psychometry is practiced in a conscious state of mind. Otherwise, no trances or deep meditation are utilized in psychometry.

In certain instances, objects may have been used in a violent crime. In these cases, the psychometrist will be unable to hold these items due to the nature of the item's history. Another example of psychometry is when a psychometrist suddenly suffers from symptoms of an illness. In this event, the object probably belonged to a person who recently died of the illness that produces the symptoms in the psychometrist. Varying forms of emotions, sounds, smells, tastes and images are all psychometric impressions. In some cases, psychometry is used in criminal investigations to further assist law enforcement.

The visions in psychometry are usually short glimpses and happen illocigally and in no specific order. Psychometrists tend to experience energy loss, body temperature increase and sometimes, an irregular heartbeat. Psychometry is believed to be a natural force of the human mind; however, some seem to think that psychometry is regulated by spiritual entities.
