Telekinesis comprises the all versatile "mind over matter" theory. Also known as Psychokinesis, telekinesis is the ability to move things with power of the mind. Skeptics contest the idea of telekinesis; however, some individuals have shown psychokinetic powers.
One individual, in particular, Tomszyk Stanislawa -- while in an hypnotic state could levitate small objects by placing her hands on opposing sides of the object. Examiners investigating the telekinesis event meticulously searched her hands for any "trickery," but found nothing. During the telekinesis episode, Tomszkk appeard to have fine threads emitted from her fingers and palms -- though seen, they were non-existent.
There have been many more telekinesis subjects; but in 2001, the University of Arizona played host to Gary Schwarts (psychology professor) to put on a "spoon-bending" party demonstrating that telekinesis, in in fact, able to prove dramatic results. In his spoon-bending party, sixty of his students did actually bend spoons and forks with the power of their minds.
To date, science cannot explain telekinesis phenomenom. Because it is paranormal in nature, modern scientists find it difficult to reason that the human brain can have a physical influence on the phsycial world. Subsequently, tests do demonstrate, however, that telekinesis is overall a release of physical energy -- in so, "the release of relatively large amount of physical energy can be triggered by thought power."1
According to further research, telekinesis can be employed by most individuals given the right amount of concentration and focus. Scientifically phenomenal, telekinesis is produced when an individual is completely relaxed and a high level of concentration has been achieved. By means of heightened awareness, mental energy that is utilized to move or bend an item, is created by an individual's molecular thought patterns of the subconscious mind. Telekinesis can be learned through much practice, focusing the mind and years of meditation.
