Holistic Nursing

HOLISTIC NURSING integrates the knowledge pool from nursing with holistic medicine. Rather than focusing on individual components of a person's body, holistic nursing addresses the patient as a "whole" being. Holistic nursing prides its standards by not only using complementary and alternative medicine, but also by giving individualized care and treatment to the patient. Holistic nurses provide undivided attention by consciously "being with" the patient on an emotional and psychological level throughout the course of prescribed treatment.

Holistic nursing encompasses the practice of self-healing techniques. But not just on a "quick-fix" basis, moreso on a lifelong path to self-healing and overall wellness. Using light, touch, compassion, music and energy, holistic nursing applies elements of natural healing to the whole person. Whether in conjuntion with medical treatment, before or after surgery, or simply recreating a new way of life, holistic nursing is a compliment to any field of the medical community.
