This fabric art was inspired by my friend Christine who spent six months in Swaziland doing service work. She talked of the magic of the animal preserves, being close to the elephants, lions and giraffes. She marvelled at the colors of the night sky, the dry lands as well as the mountainsides.
The design technique combines traditional triangle patterns with strong modern graphic images
