I've recently started a Web Site based on Spiritual Experiences. Currently I only have family member experiences on board but I hope to expand this to include the experiences of others. So it is a new thing for me and I'm looking forward to networking with others. I thought I would add my opening html page below, and my web site address here. http://home.att.net/~gwendon
I love stories about spiritual experiences. It has been my experience in growing up that most families have one or two spiritual experiences (stories) that most often revolve around a death in the family, or some miraculous healing, or the escape from some disaster. Some of these spiritual experiences involve friends or even strangers.
The sharing of these experiences has a positive effect on the person sharing the story and the person hearing the story. To the storyteller it is a means of expressing gratitude and to the listener it is often a "feels good" somehow, somewhere, within experience.
So as I seek out the spiritual experiences of others, to add to my own family stories, I have two stories to share here. One happened to me, and the other happened to my Sister.
Around 1984 my wife and I were living in an apartment in Salt Lake City, and my mother lived about 1 mile away. At the time I was working professionally as a Bio-Medical Technician. This one day I phoned Mom and asked her if she knew anyone that was home bound, that was in need of a haircut. In my mind I was attempting to reach out and perform a simple act of charity. I was a trained barber but I gave it up because of the low pay. A couple of days later Mom phoned and told me she knew of a man that was home bound with a terminal illness, that would be very pleased to have someone come to his home to cut his hair. So I got a hold of the gentleman on the phone and made arrangements to go over to his home to cut his hair on a Saturday. So Saturday arrived, and my wife accompanied me to this gentleman's home. As I stepped through the doorway, I felt I was stepping into Heaven itself. I could feel the presence of Love that appeared to be without measure or abatement, and absolutely seemed to be everywhere present. After a few friendly idle words, I cut the gentleman's hair, then following a few more friendly idle words my wife and I left. I never mentioned to this gentleman anything about feeling this presence of Love, nor did we speak a single word about spiritual things. Once my wife and I left the gentleman's home, and got seated in the car, I turned to her and asked if she felt that powerful presence of Love in that person's home. She replied, she most definitely did.
So anyway for months thereafter I was elated and uplifted at the mere thought of this experience. This gentleman I learned from my mother, had begun to recover from his once terminal illness.

My Sister's Story
My mother died in January 2003, from colon cancer. But before her death when she became to ill to live on her own, she moved from Salt Lake City to Las Vegas to live with my Sister's Son. An agreement was reached between Mom, my Sister, my Sister's Son and Daughter-In-Law, Mom's Doctor, and In Home Hospice Care, that Mom would die in my Nephew's home. So Mom was well taken care of. On the evening, and the very moment of Mom's death, something wonderful happened. The large apartment went instantly from being cool to being filled with warmth and the overwhelming presence of Love. It took a little over an hour for the ambulance to arrive at my Nephew's home. But once they arrived and stepped through the doorway, the warmth and Love instantly left the apartment. It was as though the instant Mom died, She remained in the apartment until the ambulance people arrived and stepped through the doorway.
