1.8 million private sector jobs lost
Gave tax breaks to companies that ship jobs overseas
Family income declined by $1,500 a year
Jobs shifted to industries that pay $9,160 less than jobs in contracting industries and are less likely to provide health insurance
Health Care: High Costs Health insurance premiums up by 50%
Americans are prohibited from buying cheaper prescription drugs from Canada
Medicare prescription drug plan helps companies increase profits, instead of helping seniors
Education: Leaving Schools Behind
Failed to provide funding for schools to meet requirements of No Child Left Behind Act.
Schools being punished, but not supported
Tuition at a public university increased by 35% or $1200
Foreign Policy: Lost lives & Record Deficits
Went to war in Iraq without plan to win the peace, cost Americans 90% of both casualties and cost
Lied to Congress and American people to wage a senseless preemptive war in Iraq with a loner foreign policy that weakens war on terror
Shortchanged troops on body armor and benefits but awarded billions of dollars in no-bid contracts to favored companies
