Why You Should Always Adopt a Pet from a Dog Rescue Group
by John Schwartz

Unfortunately, most people don't realize that when they adopt a pet from a store, they're helping support the horrible puppy mill industry. It's imperative that people spread the word about dog rescue groups in every state. These organizations save the lives of abandoned and lost puppies and dogs, and they are definitely the place to adopt a pet! Even in small towns, there are usually at least one or two dog rescue operations from which you can find your next best friend.

The benefits of choosing to adopt a pet from a dog rescue facility

The main benefit when you adopt a pet from a dog rescue group is that you avoid supporting the horrendous puppy mill industry. These places often keep the dogs in squalid conditions, barely feeding them enough to survive, and breeding them to the point of disease and death. When you buy an animal in a pet store, often it has come from such a place. Please don't support this atrocity!

Another terrific reason to adopt a pet from a dog rescue organization is that you'll be saving a life. Many of these animal shelters simply do not have enough space and/or funds to take in more strays and abandoned dogs. So the more adoptions they can fulfill, the more animals they can save.

Finally, an awesome reason to adopt a pet from a dog rescue facility is that you get a great new family member! Most of these puppies and dogs have had rough lives, and they are often incredibly loving and grateful when you bring them into a warm, happy home as pets. It's truly one of the best things you can do in your entire life.
