How to begin your Home Business
by A.M. Wilmont
The difference between a successful idea and a fantasy is persistence. Here are several ideas to help get you start your Home-Based Business quest and get on the path to self-empowerment, defeat procrastination along with days of indecision: First of all, get leverage - tell enough of your peers what your goal is. Second, Understand your standard excuses and do not listen to them any longer. Third, cut your major goal into small slices and reward yourself on your path. Fourth, and this may be the most important step of them all- simply begin. This is according according to one Brad Tonini, a top drawer business consultant. Brad explains that procrastination can halt your business success because you might have a fear of failure or in some cases a fear of success, or in some cases you are looking for perfection and therefore do not a really start. Either that or you have a fear of lack of control. It is really amazing how we can talk ourselves out of things that we really need and want, we produce resistance in our mind and then we often translate this into negative self chatter. The more we make decisive decisions and get started on a fresh path or one that we have dreamed about, we feel empowered and "pumped" about making the goal come true for us.
On the other hand, the reverse of procrastination is commitment. According to James Womack, commitment is the key to to imagination, allows vision, and gives us the material for turning our dreams into reality. Mack Douglas was once quoted as saying something to the effect of: "The achievement of your goal is assured the moment you commit yourself to doing it." And Pearl Buck added, "do not wait for moods. You accomplish nothing that way. Your mind has to know it has to get to work.". And Albert Einstein once famously stated: "3 rules of work (1) out of clutter, find simplicity, (2) from discord, find harmony and (3) in the middle of difficulty, lies opportunity." Remember to be persistent, that is the key. Just do the work everyday and never let up. And when you need assistance, just ask for it. Then Keep the momentum moving! Refuse to quit or take it personally. To be successful in any small or Home-Based Business, you need to be stubborn as a mule about making your Home Business not only a successful venture, but a major commitment for your life. You will fail only if you choose to quit, and only you can decide to do that. Work for yourself! Your health may eventually depend on it. It can be tough having a boss or superviser watch over you all the time.
