In waking life, I'm in my mid-40s, divorced mom of 3 daughters, and considering a major life change. The economy is likely to result in my job being cut next summer (I'm employed by the state). It's a high-stress job, one I'm not entirely unhappy to be moving on from. I'm considering a major life change - leaving my home of 20 years, and relocating to the rural area I grew up in. There are considerable risks in leaving, but I have researched possible income sources and my entrepreneurial side is calling out to me. Neither am I making financial headway where I am now. I am losing ground, and must sell one of these two properties. In the midst of this I have a dream about being on the farm I am considering relocating to, and as I am showing off the crop that's started coming up in my field, I notice a large group of deer off to the side of the field. The deer startle and flee to my right. I look at what has caused them to run and realize a cougar is on the porch of a neighboring home. But he's not alone - a tiger has his hind quarters in his jaws and is apparently about to devour him. I woke at that point and dismissed it as a weird dream. But it was so vivid that I reexamined it several times in my head, and realized it might be a message of sorts. The Tiger might symbolize my current home town (local AAA baseball team). The Cougar could symbolize the small town and farm I'm considering relocating to (the local high school team's mascot is, how about that, the Cougars). In other words, the dream of the small town and farm are being eaten up by the realities of my life and the larger city I currently live in. However, I know that dream interpretation is not always so straightforward and that these big cats may symbolize something else that I have yet to stumble on. I'd much appreciate an interpretation if anyone has one to offer. Deb
