Welcome to AIMT The American Institute of Massage Therapy exists for the purpose of teaching Massage and Colon Therapies. The importance of perceiving and treating the individual as a whole person is strongly emphasized. The staff and faculty work closely with the students to create a caring, learning atmosphere. Our Programs
Massage Therapy - Our six-month, 600 hour program is designed to teach students Swedish Massage and to give students exposure to a variety of other Allied Modalities and Massage Techniques. The curriculum is designed to provide students with the knowledge required to pass the National Certification exam for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork while building the technical skills a Massage Therapist needs to be successful. During the program, students learn:
Swedish Massage, Infant/Prenatal Massage, Medical Massage, Neuromuscular Massage, Sports Massage, Hydrotherapy, Colon Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy, Asian Bodywork, Hot Stone Massage, Geriatric Massage, and Reflexology, among other modalities.
Colon Therapy - Our six-week, 100 hour program is for Licensed Massage Therapists and provides students with the knowledge required to pass the Florida State Colon Therapy Board exam while learning the technical process of colon irrigation.
Our Facility
Our 18,000 square-foot facility is a relaxing atmosphere conducive to learning and houses classrooms, practicum areas, and a colon therapy and a hydrotherapy room, along with executive and administrative offices.
A professional massage clinic, located on the ground floor, provides massage therapy to the public.
Licensing and Accreditation

- The American Institute of Massage Therapy is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education & Training(ACCET) a national accrediting agency listed by the U.S. Secretary of Education. ACCET is located at 1722 N Street NW, Washington, DC 20036, 1-202-955-1113.
- The Department of Health, Florida Board of Massage is the regulating agency that outlines the curriculum to be followed in order to be licensed as a Massage or Colon Therapist.
