9/11, Martin Luther King Jr. Assassination and the War on Terror
by Gary Revel

Gary Revel Assassinations are the norm today for the newly founded democratic Iraq and to some extent Afghanistan. A broad-based study of the JFK, MLK and RFK assassinations can help prevent them in the future. The study must go beyond the 'official' accountings to be effective. The problem is the continual promotion of the lone gunman theory. The facts of the 'conspiracy' continue to elude mainstream consciousness.

The press are afraid to cover the truth about it, major media make extraordinary efforts to block news about it, unless it reinforces the lone-nut gunman theory, and some attorneys say that mysterious murders, assaults and threats related to the investigation were just a matter of coincidence. What has happened here in America can be seen happening in Iraq and Afghanistan today with respect to assassinations and cover-ups.

The artistic and cultural embrace of the idea that a conspiracy killed Martin Luther King, President John F. Kennedy and Presidential Candidate Robert F. Kennedy is one of the surest ways to get the artist, rube or sophisticate sidelined in a hurry.

Still time does funny things and reality sometimes comes around in ways not expected. Today most everyone in the world know that it takes planning and people to put together an operation that kills people.

It's the same with killing a high profile leader, like MLK, JFK and RFK. The terror attacks of 9/11 have shown us all that lone-nut gunman theories are basically nuts themselves.

Heroin still flows on the streets of America with most coming from the poppy fields of Afghanistan. During the Vietnam war the same thing was happening except the illegal drug came from the Vietnam neighboring country, Burma. There may be more similarities that we all conveniently overlook.

Don't get me wrong about this. If our National Security is tied into Organized Crime to the extent that it is necessary to mingle illegal drug sales and operations with it then we might as well just legalize all drug sales. I am not saying a government should not provide security for it's people. By all means they should, but when they do I think it's better to acknowledge the fact and make it clear to all that they are very serious about the matter. Serious enough to do business with Organized Crime and kill people that they believe are a threat, those people who are found to be enemies, both foreign and domestic, of their government. History is once again repeating itself. Assassinations are a valuable tool to terrorists and governments.
