Ever seen a greater power
Than the rule of habit?
Stronger than love
Greater than hate
And definitely more enduring
The most convincing guru's
Have bundled their efforts
To adjust our mentality
Toward increased acceptance
Of the change that's always luring
Yet, habit remains king
Requiring stronger acts
Than mere words and examples
To help us crystallize
Our visions, so obscuring
Habit is the glue
That keeps matchless couples together
And prevents businesses
From obtaining leadership
That could be enduring
And, funny or sad
Making you happy or mad:
The rule of habit never fails
In having us adapt to changes like snails
Bad enough when young -- but worse as we're maturing.
