the gallows' noose swings in the breeze, one size fits all...equally, a stairway to heaven or hell, may be, thirteen steps to eternity,
beware the scythe's arching blade, the tallies taken, and been weighed, judgment day so close at hand, face the id, be saved or damned.
will sunrise find you on your knees? rock night's cradle, and pray for peace, a member of the living dead, you'll soon find out what's passed the edge,
let no one whiff the scent of fear, your time grows short, and end is near, stoically you walk the walk, your life's breath ticks down with the clock,
as payment for the tears they've cried, you'll swing to death's lullaby, words of innocence meet blank stares, time stands still as you walk on air.
