Mission:
To enable teachers or coaches of life enriching material and students seeking to live the holistic life to come together worldwide for education and enlightenment with state-of-the-art teaching and learning technology including graphics, audio, video and text.
Concept:
An information hub on a particular subject of interest, which attracts like-minded people who want to become part of the community.
Subject areas can be diverse dealing with any aspect of helping someone live an authentic and meaningful life enabling them to develop their full potential in joy and health and prosperity. A network of colleagues to help make a positive difference in the world of the individual.
Holistic Life University will offer a variety of ways for members/students to learn and share information. These include: e-courses, tele-classes, e-books, e-workshops, assessment tools, chat rooms, etc. All courses and offerings would be available in a variety of formats including audio, video, text, slide presentations and graphics. These would also be formatted for the dialup as well as high-speed users.
The University and classes will be promoted online, as well as area promotions where there may be a large concentration of teachers or coaches. For instance if we have 50 teachers or coaches from Chicago area, we may promote online classes through various means of advertising in that area. Students will be able to choose classes offered by area and have the option of personal contact with teacher or coach. Help will also be given to teachers as to how they can promote their own classes or workshops.
Teachers or coaches will have an easy to use interface to upload all class materials and information including initial training on the process. Students will easily and safely be able to pay for and use all class materials for quick and easy access to materials and course teacher or coach as well as other students in class via chat rooms and bulletin boards.
Payment would be accepted by check or secure online credit card transaction, and full accounting will be provided to teachers and coaches.
All courses will be provided in text only, audio only, or (optional) video only formats. Each class will also offer a source for handouts, graphics and/or power point slide show to stimulate the learning process. Teachers or coaches will also have use of University store to sell personal products.
Costs:
Teachers or coaches must pay an annual membership fee of $650 for initial set up and ongoing promotional and storage fees. Additionally, teachers or coaches would pay 15% of class fees for administrative and ongoing technical support. The $650 could be divided into 12 payments of $60 if that is easier for teachers or coaches to support. The annual fee of $650 will be waived when class fee percentage equals double the amount or $1300. At this time there is no limit to amount of workshops a teacher or coach may have running at any one time.
Student costs (course fees) will be set by individual instructors.
